February 2017: In October 2016 the finest peppers were selected, and after a good month’s drying, the seeds were retrieved from these top specimens. This year 500 000 seeds will be sown at the end of January and the beginning of February. At the moment our colleagues in charge of preparation are busy removing the screens used for the 2016 crop from the greenhouses. They’ll then be cleaning up before clodding. The fields will also be cleared of their nets, and any remaining plants will be ground up. Congratulations to our colleagues who are braving current icy temperatures!
